Everything in Its Right Place
 
This body of work focused on the energy, placement, and personality that shows through individual's spaces and how objects are placed.   This series came about after the death of her Grandpa.  Being around his things in personal spaces provided a sense of familiarity.  The self-expression through painting these subjects and time of reflection helped her work through the loss.  The paintings eventually moved onto focusing on other family member's spaces.  This series including additional paintings was shown as Katie's first solo show Everything in its Right Place at Bate's Gallery, Edinboro University  in 2012.
