Landscapes and Exteriors

​Time spent studying the landscape through painting began with a strong influence from Impressionism and love for the earth.  Transcribing color and the sensation of the space through each mark was the technique for this body of work.  Katie continues to paint the land and other exteriors currently.  Her return to Pennsylvania and being in the forests, hills and mountains sparked her work to follow this direction again.  Being surrounded by Plein Air painters and other nature lovers is igniting her vitality.
