Art and the Spiritual Mythologies

This body of work was inspired from conversations with her adviser and mentor at SAIC and as a Teaching Assistant for the class "Art and the Spritual".  Their discussions were stacked with mythology, spirituality, the metaphysical, astrology, astronomy, religions, ancient relics, cultures and aliens.  Katie would go to different museums and draw from these ancient artifacts and involved them in her own narrative in the paintings.  The spirit of objects and spaces were painted to give a sense of mysticism.  Her interest in and studies of these subjects continue.
