The Shadow Self

​This series is about the dark parts of our personalities and society.  The Devil archetype embodies what has power over us.  That can be another person, a government, groups, secret societies,  dark forces, your ego, a bad habit, sex, food, and so on.  Pluto represents exploring the shadow self and the Devil is more widespread in our world today as a symbol.  Painting these subjects was a part of wrestling demons, an exploration of how to release patterns that no longer served her.  Some of the work explored the darker side of society such as what may be hidden to the public eye through means of distraction and the unknown hand of power limiting the freedoms of  human rights.
